TUESDAY JULY 2 DEADLINE MET

This morning we were woken at 5:30 by Oliver, who decided it was now our job to let him out of jail.  Aidan was picked up by his team to go to Mornington Island for a couple of days, so we bade him farewell and got him to promise to wait for us at the end of the City to Surf.  He has wangled a personalised "HOBBS" race label, so will start from the front again.  They are still using his picture this year.

We installed a frame around the front door.

Then we sanded the front deck with 40 grade on a small belt sander.  We started at 7:30 today and finished at 6pm , completing the last jobs on the list.  We are very pleased with how the front of the house looks now.  They probably have less than a month now to do the other jobs that should be done before renting out the house.

This is Lyn putting the last coat of paint on the door frame before Peta came home.

There are giraffes everywhere in this house.  Did you notice one had climbed into our bedroom via the window?

Peta cooked us a slowcooked shank for dinner.  She has kept us superbly fed.  We must be at the Greyhound Bus at 6:30am tomorrow to travel to Longreach.
